Notice, Latte has removed all workarounds so such behaviors are applets
responsibility
1. Make sure that you have increased your plasma panels applets maximimum icon
size at 192 px.

2. For the weather widget you need to ping its developers to provide a Square
layout in order for the parabolic effect to work correctly.
all the above are intentional.
