STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open Display Configuration
2. change display scale from 100% to 150%
3. apply the change
4. change display scale from 150% to 125%
5. apply the change
OBSERVED RESULT
my desktop looks what we can in the attached screenshot
EXPECTED RESULT
properly scaled desktop

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
restarting Plasma with 'plasmashell --replace' fixes my desktop.
