If DrmGpu::findWorkingCombination doesn't find any functional combinations then the Pipelines in DrmOutput will be deleted but neither set to nullptr nor reverted back to what they were originally. The patch should "fix" that but I'd still like to find the actual source of the problem. You likely have some lines with something like "Atomic test for CommitMode::Commit failed! Invalid Argument" and a bunch of numbers below it in your ~/.local/share/sddm/wayland-session.log when KWin crashes.
