SUMMARY
On openSUSE Leap 15.3 I updated to latest plasma 5.23 beta from

$ rpm -qf /usr/bin/ksmserver
plasma5-workspace-5.22.90-lp153.624.1.x86_64
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Reboot the pc and login into KDE as user1
2. Switch user to user2
3. Attempt to switch user back to user1. Choose existing session and click
"Switch to this session"
OBSERVED RESULT
The screen clears (just the background is visible, no user icon, no username)
and there is no prompt for password for user1. No way to get back to either
session from this state.
EXPECTED RESULT
The screen displays user1's icon, username and password prompt. Entering
password switches to user1's session.
