I installed the package "qt5-qmake" (using ubuntu 16.04 package base on Linux Mint), but the command still didn't work. I installed "qt4-qmake", and the command worked, then. Here's the output: QMake version 2.01a Using Qt version 4.8.7 in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu If I'm reading that right, is my Qt version WAY behind?
