Bug ID: 366045
Summary: There is no keyboard shortcut to copy/move selected
items to the opposite pane
Product: dolphin
Version: 4.14.2
Platform: Mint (Ubuntu based)
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: split view
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Dolphin is a dual-pane file manager. Yet its dual pane system is not exploited
yet.
How's that for a file manager that prides itself on Usability??
Usually F5 and F6 are used to copy/move the selected items to opposite pane.
CTRL+F5 and CTRL+F6 are used to copy/move silently (without dialog).
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select some files/folders
2. Try to copy/move them to the opposite pane
3. We don't have any keyboard shortcut to do this fast.
Actual Results:
The only way is to drag-n-drop them with mouse.
Expected Results:
Let F5 copy the selected items to opposite pane.
Let F6 move the selected items to opposite pane.
Let CTRL+F5 copy the selection silently (without dialog).
Let CTRL+F6 move the selection silently (without dialog).
