Bug ID: 444097 Summary: Custom "Create Folder" shortcut doesn't work within application file dialogs Product: dolphin Version: 21.08.2 Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: gvcal...@gmail.com CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I have assigned a custom assigned keyboard shortcut to create a new folder (Ctrl + Shift + N in my case). It works perfectly if I open a standalone Dolphin window. However, when another application (such as Google Chrome) opens up Dolphin itself (e.g. in order to choose where to save a file) then my custom shortcut does not work, but the default "F10" does work. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Assign a custom keyboard shortcut to the "Create Folder" command from within Dolphin 2. Open an external application which provides some interface to save a file (in this example, Google Chrome) 3. Opt to save a file to a specific location (in Chrome, right click on web page > Save As...) 4. Test custom shortcut OBSERVED RESULT The command to create a new folder is not fired EXPECTED RESULT The command should fire as expected SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Manjaro KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.87.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION It should be noted that in some older applications, an older file dialog appears. This is the case for me and Firefox. With these older dialogs, neither F10 nor the custom shortcut work. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
