--- Comment #11 from Martin <spleefe...@gmail.com> --- I disagree with this being a case of a broken desktop file, the mimetype is already defined in mimeapps.list, there should be no need to redefine it in the desktop file. If you hardcode xdg-open to use the generic path instead of kde-open5, it will work. Replacing "DE=kde" with "DE=generic" in /usr/bin/xdg-open will do this. Then xdg-open tg://t.me/archlinuxgroup will work, whereas kde-open5 tg://t.me/archlinuxgroup will fail.
