A demonstration of the behaviour
SUMMARY

When playing the video preview, I can hear a crackling noise which makes
Kdenlive basically unusable. I can't hear this in the original footage or the
rendered video.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Put any footage in the timeline, even if it doesn't have any audio
2. Press the play button under the video preview
OBSERVED RESULT
The video plays, but with a crackling noise
EXPECTED RESULT
The video plays and sounds the same as the original footage
