            Bug ID: 447874
Summary: Dates view forgets descending order
           Product: digikam
           Version: 7.5.0
          Platform: Microsoft Windows
                OS: Microsoft Windows
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Metadata-Date
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
***
The "Dates" view, when sorted in descending order, is not maintained in the new
Digikam session (i.e. after closing Digikam and the restarting it).

WORKAROUND:
In the "Dates" view click the "Dates" column to change the descending "down
arrow" to "up arrow" and then back to "down arrow" to restore the view.
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Click "Dates" view (on left hand side)
2. Click "Dates" column until the "down arrow" appears (descending)
3. Notice that the years/months are in descending order (GOOD)
4. Close Digikam
5. Restart Digikam
6. The "Dates" view should still be visible but the years/months are in
ascending order (BAD) even though there is a "down arrow" visible on the far
right of the "Dates" column indicating that they should be descending. Note, if
certain years/months were expanded ("+" icon clicked) then these appear as they
were in the previous Digikam session (GOOD)

OBSERVED RESULT
Once the dates are in descending order and Digikam is restarted the dates
appear in ascending order (BAD)

EXPECTED RESULT
The "Dates" view should look the same as the last Digikam session, i.e.
descending if it was descending.
