Experiencing this same issue:
 Huion H1060 Pro tablet, Windows 10 64-bit, winTab

In both krita 5.0.0, 5.0.1,and 5.0.2 the pen/eraser toggle shortcut does not
toggle. This issue is not present in 4.4.8.
