You may be onto something here. I've seen containment ids being added seemingly at random when examining my appletsrc, but I thought that some legacy cruft in my old config was to blame, so I disregarded and forgot about it. As I mentioned before, the bug also happens with a fresh appletsrc, though. But I never checked what goes on with the ids in a fresh appletsrc, so that would be a reasonable next step, I guess.
