Just an error mesage that says it can not find the encoder. This must be from

from a Logitech H390 USB headphone with stereo headphones and stereo mike.
Using Sound volume to set configuration to mono audio record.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Menu --> Multimedia --> Kwave comes up as application with buttons
"File", "Record" , "Settings", "Help"
2. Hit the Record button. The app locks up, and freezes the 2 windows. 1 in
front, and 1 behind. Click the upper right
hand close button to regain control.
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
The application locks up until, you hit the upper right close button, several
times. Then answer, "terminate application"
I realize now, that You have to select a FILE first, set the source settings,
before hitting the record button.
EXPECTED RESULT
First time use of Kwave. After trying "gnome sound recorder". Hit record
"first time" before setting up a filename.
Kwave: Set up a file name and source settings before hitting record for the
"first" time. Internal Kwave should check if filename exists, or NO FILENAME
entered and print error message and other variables are set before , executing
the "record" function to save the sound into a file.
