STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open Kate
2. press ctrl+o
3. right-click on a text file and choose 'Rename...'
4. type another filename and confirm renaming by clicking on 'Rename' button
(Notice that the 'Name' field of the file open dialog was not updated with the
typed filename)
5. try to open the just renamed (and currently selected) file by clicking on
'Open' button of the file open dialog
OBSERVED RESULT
error message saying 'The file xxxxx could not be found.'

EXPECTED RESULT
file renamed in the step 4 should be open
