Bug ID: 450343
Summary: Titlebar Context Menu is missing option to move window
to another activity
Product: kwin
Version: 5.24.1
Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: activities
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
When clicking the titlebar of a window with the right mouse button, the context
menu opens which allows to adjust the activities on which the window is
displayed.
Unfortunately there is no option to simply move the window to a different
activity. (See https://imgur.com/pAEjTUF). In order to move the window, one has
to select the checkbox next to the new activity which results in the
contextmenu being closed. The context menu then has to be opened again and the
checkbox next to the current activity deselected (as we want to MOVE the window
and not display it on both activities).
In contrast, when right-clicking the task icon in the task manager bar, there
is an option to simply move the window to one of the other activitites (see
https://imgur.com/FD2G9wO).
The same option should be present when opening the window title context menu.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. right click window title bar
2. hover over "Show in Activitites"
OBSERVED RESULT
Option "Move to [anotherActivity]" is NOT visible
EXPECTED RESULT
Option "Move to [anotherActivity]" should be visible
