upgraded to Kunbuntu 21.10, was running good for over a month, within the
last couple days (possibly after an update in Discovery) the bottom desktop
Panel disappeared, even after reboot. I was able to add a new one and set it
up close to what I had. Next time I start up, it is missing again. I couldn't
find any info on this searching. I did find info on upgrading Plasma to 5.24
through backports, I'm not sure what this is, but I installed it hoping it
would help.
* Rebooted and now my screen is blank/black with only the mouse pointer. *
I got to this somehow by I believe Alt-tab opening up a process list, menu for
tools, opened up Info (on system), nothing showed up, but I could click Report
a Bug that opened a browser to enter this. I'm not sure how anyone can help as
I don't have access to do anything on my computer which is a Dell tower, using
HDMI output. I can get to Konsole.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. install Plasma 5.24 backports
2. reboot

OBSERVED RESULT
- blank black screen with mouse pointer, no clicking or right clicking do
anything.
EXPECTED RESULT
- expected to get Panel back
