Everything is now reinstalled and I have been able to test the original fault with DigiKam. I have run this test: 1.Scan collection for faces 2. Detect Faces 3. Whole album collection 4. Skip images already scanned 5. Fast Accurate =100% 6. Work on all processors 7. Run detection Digikam runs to the end of the job and completes correctly.
