Moving all files and the output directory in kscreen to a backup directory and rebooting. Result - only one monitor powers on after logging in to KDE. The most recent configuration files in kscreen and its backup are identical. 2. Leaving the single recent file in kscreen and restoring all the old files in the output directory. Reboot. Result - only one monitor powers on after logging in to KDE. 3. Restore all the older configuration files in kscreen and reboot. Result - both monitors are powered on after logging in to KDE with the correct desktops. I am missing something here - but cannot figure it out.
