screenshot of "installed" cursor themes
Cursor themes installed with Discover do not work. The preview shows the
default cursors. Attempting to use it has no effect. If you leave the cursor
settings screen and come back, the theme you installed is no longer present,
but discover still thinks it is installed.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open settings -> appearance -> cursor
2. Click "get new cursors"
3. Install any cursor theme.
4. Go back to the settings window where the new theme will appear, but the
preview will only show the default cursors (see attached screenshot).
5. Try to use the new theme (nothing happens).
6. Switch to a different page of the settings eg "Icons" and then switch back
to cursors (the theme you just installed no longer appears)
7. Click "get new cursors" again and go to the theme you installed (Discover
thinks it is already installed)
OBSERVED RESULT
It isn't possible to use a custom cursor theme installed with Discover.
EXPECTED RESULT
Installing a cursor theme with Discover should allow you to use it immediately.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Tested on KDE Neon user, testing, and developer using install images downloaded
on the day of bug reporting. Also verified that the problem still happens after
installing, rebooting into the install, and installing all available updates.
