This "fix" is creating more problems than solutions.
Please see my bug report for a more sensible way to approach this. As others
have confirmed (and as it is clearly evident), this was NOT the right approach.

It's getting really bad. Outright disabling the caching of thumbnails from an
encrypted container makes no sense. I lay out the reasons why in my bug report.
I highly encourage others to read it and vote on the issue.
There are better ways to approach this than the nuclear option.
