Bug ID: 454152
Summary: Appmenu keep following cursor even when it's not
focused on the menu
Product: lattedock
Version: 0.10.6
Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: critical
Priority: NOR
Component: application
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
Thank you so much for this awesome app as always. I'm not sure if this is a bug
or expected behavior of appmenu but I'm having trouble getting used to this. To
briefly describe my issue using appmenu:
When I try to hover over on a submenu it keeps on skipping to the next menu
(from the parent menu). Ex) In Dolphin, if I were to select sort by (parent
menu in this case is 'view') to change one of the options, instead of going
inside the submenu to select an option there, it skips to next parent menu (in
this case from 'view' to 'Go','tools','settings...).
It basically follows everywhere my cursor moves to even when it's not hovering
over the menu (*once it's clicked on any of the options)
is this known bug or how appmenu supposed to behave? when this happens, I've
been using keyboard to manually select submenus so far but it's been bugging me
out for awhile. If it is a bug, any tips to fix this issue would be greatly
appreciated. Thank you.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. click on one of appmenu options
2. move the cursor outside the menu area
3. or try selecting submenu
OBSERVED RESULT
instead of going inside the submenu to select one of it's options, it skips to
the next parent menu
EXPECTED RESULT
when one of the options from appmenu is clicked, the focus should stay in that
menu rather than following the cursor even when it's not hovered/clicked on
another one.
