Bug ID: 455993
Summary: Let user constrain cursor to one monitor (Wayland)
Product: kwin
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: wayland-generic
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
Being able to constrain cursor to one of the monitors in multi monitor setup
would be great for games, that have sometimes issues with "mouse escaping."
Sure there are gamescope etc. workarounds, but those usually come with costs
such as input latency and FPS impact.
Sway has this option: `swaymsg -- input "$MOUSE_ID" map_to_output DP-1` which
tells mouse to stay in the first screen.
Having it built into Kwin would be great, since I play native linux games that
have trouble with screen locking on wayland (Splitgate is one of them).
This could also be useful in kiosk setups and such.
