Bug ID: 456712
Summary: System Settings > Mouse > Scrolling: Invert scroll
direction resets after plug out USB receiver without
changes in the settings
Product: systemsettings
Version: 5.24.5
Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: kcm_mouse
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
***
I usually use macos-like scroll direction for the mouse in my laptop.
And I put USB receiver to usb hub beside printer and flash drives.
Sometimes I move my laptop to another workplace and to take mouse need to
reconnect receiver from USB hub directly to laptops USB port.
But setting of scrolling breaks and returns to windows-like.
And I need to do unmark > save > mark > save operations to get settings back.
I testes this bug without USB hub also.
***
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Plug the USB bluetooth receiver of your mouse in the USB port of your laptop
and see the scroll direction
2. go to the System Setting > Input Devices > Mouse
3. check the checkbox of Scrolling: Invert scroll direction
4. click Apply button to apply changed setting
5. test the scrolling direction of your mouse, it should change the direction
6. Plug the USB bluetooth receiver out of the USB port.
7. Plug the USB bluetooth receiver in the same USB port.
OBSERVED RESULT
Scrolling direction dot back to the Windows-like direction.
Setting page shows that I have macos-like direction and does not reflect the
real direction.
EXPECTED RESULT
Direction should be still as macos-like direction.
