1) Does the performance degradation persist if you close the document and
reopen it **without** restarting Krita?
2) Does the performance degradation persist if you close **all the documents**
and then reopen the document in question **without** restarting Krita?
3) Does the performance degradation persist if you close the document,
**restart** Krita and then reopen the document?
