STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open Ark
2. open Ark settings
3. click on 'Plugins' in the left side, disable libzip plugin or disable both
libzip and info-zip plugins and click on 'OK' button
4. open Dolphin
5. right-click on a single file or on a folder containing files/folders, hover
over 'Compress' and
choose 'Compresss to...'
6. open 'Type' combobox and choose 'Zip archive'
7. click on 'OK' button or set multi-volume archive and click on 'OK' button
OBSERVED RESULT
while the archive is created, Plasma shows a notification with a unhelpful
ping-pong 'progress' bar

I did the settings above in Ark because I'm unable to create a multi-volume zip
when using the default Ark settings.
