Bug ID: 459732
Summary: Touchpad loses natural scrolling after restart
Classification: Applications
Product: systemsettings
Version: 5.25.5
Platform: Archlinux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: kcm_touchpad
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
Touchpad scroll direction lost after restart, and don't work when edited.
Similar tp #452915 and #411114, but it happens without suspending and with the
touchpad.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
It happens only sometimes, not always failing.
1. In my touchpad settings I have selected "Two fingers" and "Invert scroll
direction (Natural scrolling)".
2. I switch off the system, and start it again
3. I open any app, like the browser, the system settings
4. I scroll with two fingers
5. The scroll works in the opposite version as set up (like if "Invert scroll
direction" as unchecked)
6. I go to System settings > Touchpad, and the "Invert scroll direction" option
is still checked
7. I uncheck it, apply, check it again, apply, but seems like changes to that
setting are ignored
8. I reboot again, and in some cases the scrolling will work as expected, and
in many it will be ignored
OBSERVED RESULT
Touchpad's "Invert scroll direction" is not followed
EXPECTED RESULT
The setting should be respected
