Bug ID: 459934 Summary: Parley (native package) editor rendering of collection spreadsheets is highly glitchy on Wayland Classification: Applications Product: parley Version: 22.08.0 Platform: Archlinux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: editor Assignee: parley-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: thebluequa...@mailo.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 152552 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=152552&action=edit Buggy and glitchy rendering of collection tables and cells - Parley native package on Wayland SUMMARY Parley (native package) editor rendering of collection spreadsheets is highly glitchy on Wayland When loading a collection or creating a new one in Parley on Wayland, the table/spreadsheet doesn't render correctly, with lines and word not changing when scrolling, or making the text illegible. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install Parley native package, open an existing collection or create a new one 2. Try typing in the cells, changing the cursor position inside cells, and scrolling down and up in the editor view 3. Rendering the cells and the table/spreadsheet will be very buggy and glitchy (see the screenshot as an example) OBSERVED RESULT In the Wayland session, the editor view of Parley (native package) is unreliable and glitchy, with faulty rendering of the collection tables and cells and sometimes viewed text is illegible, causing significant issues in real work and study situations. EXPECTED RESULT Parley native package should work like normal on a Wayland session with the current status of progress for Wayland compatibility of KDE applications and frameworks.
