--- Comment #2 from Roman Šmakal <[email protected]> ---
I am on 5.26 and if there is *manual* way to open it, i did not found it.
Automatic works (except for mentioned Firefox time after time), but when you
use widget to hide the keyboard, there is no way to open it back.

Other case is if the automatic do NOT work, then widget allows me to manually
show the keyboard as expected.

At this moment i'm always able to get virtual keyboard somehow, but it's
inconsistent and UX (at least for me) could be much better.

For time saving i may try to clarify use cases:

Use case 1 - attached keyboard + touchscreen
 - when i touch field in any app, i get half of display covered with keyboard,
that i actually don't need (and if wanted, i could bring it up)

Use case 2 - touchscreen
 - while browsing i might accidentally press input field - this means virtual
keyboard is being shown and this behavior can be annoying

Use case 3 - touchscreen with (for some reason) problematic app - Firefox at
this moment
 - i do not get keyboard automatically when input field is pressed and i do not
have way to show the keyboard
