Bug ID: 368614
Summary: Selecting Color Adjustment Filter Brushes Causing
Excessive Memory Usage
Product: krita
Version: 3.0.1
Platform: Mint (Ubuntu based)
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: crash
Priority: NOR
Component: Brush engine
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Pretty much as stated above. Simply selecting a Filter Brush on the Color
Adjustment setting causes RAM usage to skyrocket, then stick at that level once
I've switched away from the brush. If I switch back to the brush, memory usage
will continue to climb.
Using the brush for long enough will cause my entire computer to lock up due to
Krita using up all available memory, forcing me to either reboot, or spend the
better part of 30 minutes trying to close Krita.
Not sure if this is related, but I feel that it bears mentioning: attempting to
open the channel selection menu on the settings for the color adjustment brush
causes it to close itself instantly, preventing me from accessing the other
channel settings. If this should be reported as a separate bug, let me know and
I'll do so.
Thank you for taking the time to read this bug report, and I look forward to
your responses.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Select Filter Brush on Color Adjustment Mode
2. Memory usage climbs until software is rendered unusable
Actual Results:
Krita uses all available memory
Expected Results:
Memory usage remains at a normal level
