They could put together a bug bounty of more than $1,000. That would probably
be enough to entice a developer capable of investigating and fixing the problem
to do so. Or they could directly pool their money to hire a developer to fix it
(which would probably cost more than $1,000). Or they could find a technical
friend and convince that person to do it. Or they can learn programming skills
and fix it themselves.

Beyond that, I'm afraid it's just a waiting game.
