For example I often enough also open directories, so for me files first might not match my exact use case. As I understood setting your own preferences would be difficult to implement. I think I remember that the individual runners decide upon their priority themselves. So I'd also be grateful for just the applications first case working out of the box. And agreed: KRunner is awesome. It is one of the most awesome parts of Plasma desktop. I never seen a runner that works as good as this one on any other desktop environment or operating system. So yeah, thank you to all the developers on the great work on it!
