Bug ID: 463453
Summary: Wallpaper image did not change correctly (for Event?)
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasmashell
Version: 5.26.4
Platform: Manjaro
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Image Wallpaper
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected], [email protected]
Target Milestone: 1.0
SUMMARY
I have noticed that today the wallpaper is meant to change, but it only changed
for one display instead of all.
Global Theme: "Breath Dark"
Wallpaper normal: "Bamboo at Night"
Wallpaper event: "North" (images_dark)
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. have multiple displays
2. have the theme setup described in "summary"
3. ensure no event is currently set for the system time
4. reboot into a time where a event is
5. observe the wallpaper not being updated for all displays
OBSERVED RESULT
Wallpaper only changed for one display
EXPECTED RESULT
Wallpaper should update for all displays
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Manjaro Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.101.0
Qt Version: 5.15.7
Kernel Version: 6.1.1-1-MANJARO (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor
Memory: 15.5 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX Vega
Manufacturer: ASUS
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
i was not sure under which component to file this under.
i have also noticed that when going to Wallpaper settings from the one display
that changed, it does not highlight any wallpaper as used.
i dont know if this intentional, but i have also noticed that the currently
used wallpaper is duplicated in the Wallpaper selection, once showing with the
name and author and once at the beginning only showing the resolution, but both
show the same image and link to the same place.
Note: in the screenshot the middle display is the primary display, in case that
matters.
Note: i am listing this as "event" because the wallpaper suddenly changed,
without me setting it or (from what i can tell) updating a theme package and it
also happened in a time frame where it is reasonable to think it is a event.
