            Bug ID: 463827
Summary: Computers do not detect each other until KDE Connect
settings are opened and device list is refreshed
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kdeconnect
           Version: 22.12.1
          Platform: Neon
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: common
          Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com
          Reporter: sephiroth...@hotmail.it
                CC: andrew.g.r.hol...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I have multiple computers running Linux with KDE Plasma. For the purpose of
this bug report, let's concentrate on my laptop and my tablet, which were
paired with KDE Connect. They are unable to detect each other until I open the
settings and I manually refresh the list of available devices. This happens
both on clean boot and after suspension/hibernation.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Pair two computers

OBSERVED RESULT
The computers require manual refresh of the available devices list before
detecting each other (this needs to be done just on one device, not both).

EXPECTED RESULT
The computers, which are already paired, detect each other automatically.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: KDE neon
KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.101.0
Qt Version: 5.15.7

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
While this issue was present in Ubuntu 20.04-based distros due to an issue with
openssl libraries (see bug 424606), this is no longer the case with Ubuntu
20.04-based distros as there are no error messages in dmesg related to SSL.
