Bug ID: 464053
Summary: Color profile applied to incorrect screen on
multiscreen setup after screen configuration change
Classification: Applications
Product: systemsettings
Version: 5.26.5
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: kcm_colors
Assignee: [email protected]

Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY: see $SUBJECT
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Boot KDE Neon (22.04, all updates applied) on a multiscreen setup. In my
case, Samsung 22" (1) and Dell 27" (2)
2. Apply a color profile (.icc) to the first (primary) screen (in my case,
Samsung 22"). This works fine and is reapplied when rebooting.
3. Disconnect the second screen. The color profile on the first still works
fine.
4. Reconnect the second screen.
OBSERVED RESULT
The color profile of the primary screen is now applied to the secondary
(reconnected) screen.
This persists even when again disconnecting and reconnecting the second screen,
and also across reboots.
It also persists when changing the color profile - apparently the KDE Color
Profile settings module "thinks" my Dell 27" is actually the Samsung 22".
Changing the 27" color profile is *also* applied to the 27" screen, btw. So
they are not swapped.
EXPECTED RESULT
Color profile should stay with the screen it was applied to regardless of
monitor configuration change.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS: KDE Plasma 5.26 on KDE Neon,
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I attached my color profile, just in case. This was
generated using agryll using a Spyder5 colorimeter.
