            Bug ID: 464375
Summary: Only one monitor gets the "focus" animation, the other
                    just appears
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: kwin
           Version: 5.26.5
          Platform: OpenSUSE
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: effects-overview
          Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: david.vuckov...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

So currently, when you open the overview, and then select a workspace in the
top bar, only the focused monitor seems to be getting the animation. The other
monitor (maybe monitors, only have 2), just sort of appears. And it looks
pretty jarring. Compare this to Desktop-Grid, Present Windows and shortcut
workspace switching, and the difference is clear that this is a visual
inconsistency. The slower the animation speed the more awkward it looks.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Trigger the overview effect
2. In the top bar pick a different workspace from the current one
3. Look at the other monitors during this switching animation

OBSERVED RESULT

Animation is performed only on the monitor where the click was performed.

EXPECTED RESULT

The same animation is performed on both, like in other effects.
