How do the VLC messages come about? With my developer version there are no problems playing the videos, but the AppImage doesn't play the MP4 videos either. However, I have no VLC messages. I have a link here to a German Ubuntu forum that also talks about this problem and the users claim that we use VLC. Could it be that the AppImage is using FFmpeg installed in the system?
