I've been running into several crashes a day do to this bug and it was honestly
driving me crazy. I finally stumbled across this bug report (and the fix to
set "Render Loop" to "Basic" is via the "Plasma Renderer" utility).
Given that it will be a while before it's fully fixed (it's fixed in upstream
Qt, but plasma will need to be migrated to Qt 6+), perhaps it might be possible
to have the "Automatic" setting for Render Loop detect if plasma is running
using wayland and if it is, set the Render Loop to "Basic" behind the scenes?
I think this will prevent a huge amount of user frustration.
