SUMMARY
The 'History' monitor page is problematic:
- it cannot be removed.
- it prevents any other page from displaying any shared sensors, even when
hidden.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
- 1st time users generally start by modifying the existing pages. So modify the
default 'history' page to user specification sensors.
- realise that the history page cannot be deleted and maybe easier to hide and
ignore. Make a similar new page and add additional user specification sensors.
- notice that the hidden history page is preventing the new page from
displaying any shared elements.
- rm /home/user/.local/share/plasma-systemmonitor/history.page
- note that after restarting plasma-systemmonitor 'history' page is still
present in GUI, despite not existing as a file, and see that it is still
interfering with other user-generated pages.
OBSERVED RESULT
disappointment intensifies
EXPECTED RESULT
user-specified graphs on a new page to replace defunct default history page
