Bug ID: 465734 Summary: Vertical size is too big and interface doesn't fit on the screen Classification: Applications Product: gwenview Version: 22.12.2 Platform: Neon OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: gwenview-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: paninomaninod...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 156250 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=156250&action=edit trying to force window rules SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Log in on Wayland 2. Open Gwenview 3. OBSERVED RESULT Gwenview opens, for a split second at the right size, but then the windows resizes itself increasing height. This hides the bottom part of the interface outside of the screen view. On a X11 session I can use Window Rules to force a maximum size of the window, but on Wayland this Plasma Feature does not work. EXPECTED RESULT Gwenview open and stays at the right size. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: NEON USER (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.102.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This problem doesn't affect Gwenview only, other programas are also affected. Qbittorent, Pinta too for example, curiously "QT" programs. This started happening sometime during the second semester but I can't say for sure for how long this problem with Windows Rules not working on Wayland is on Plasma because for me is still impossible to use Wayland, too many problems. If I find other Plasma programs with this issue I'll report. My resolution is 1366x768. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
