Bug ID: 467077
Summary: Enable Ctrl+Meta+Arrow-Keys by default to switch
virtual desktops
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasmashell
Version: 5.27.2
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: Pager
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Target Milestone: 1.0
SUMMARY
The Ctrl+Meta+Arrow-Keys are really handy shortcuts to switch virtual desktops
(VDs). They are predefined in the SystemSettings but unfortunately disabled by
default.
In my opinion it makes sense to have them enabled at start for new
installations and therefore propose this change for Plasma 6.
Enabling this will not directly enhance the discoverability for new users but
decrease the need to make up to 4 changes in the SystemSettings for users who
know of these shortcuts and want to make use them.
System: Fedora 37
P.S. For some reason the even more advanced Shift+Ctrl+Meta+Arrow-Keys are
already enabled by default to move a window to another VD.
