Bug ID: 467393
Summary: systemmonitor: detected sensors cluttered and
impossible to add / ksystemstats: errors on STDOUT
Classification: Applications
Product: plasma-systemmonitor
Version: 5.27.3
Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. run plasma-systemmonitor
2. try to add some temperature sensors to a graph
3. run ksystemstats --replace shows errors in STDERR
OBSERVED RESULT
systemmonitor does not reliably show the available sensors. sometimes no
sensors are available at all.
if there ever are sensors shown, they're not ordered in its categories and
scattered all over the place (see screenshot).
in the past, i remember sensors displayed in their respecting categories. this
is not the case now.
it is currently not possible to use systemmonitor in a sensible manner, outside
of the default programs/history/processes view.
EXPECTED RESULT
being able to use systemmonitor to monitor the temps given by the sensor
connected to the mainboard
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: 6.2.6
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.104.0
Qt Version: 5.15.8
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
plasma-systemmonitor, libksysguard, ksystemstats have been built with -O0 to
exclude optimization errors
sensor modules in use(all in-tree modules):
nct6775
k10temp
lm-sensors is set up correctly and running sensors shows all data from
connected sensors
STDERR output of ksystemstats:
╰─>$ ksystemstats --replace
