Kate is generally available on the Microsoft Store,
https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/kate/9NWMW7BB59HW?hl=en-us&gl=us
Alas, the version available _right now_ is "Update Kate to 22.08.1" (which
correlates with what is indeed installed) while on
https://community.chocolatey.org/packages/kate#versionhistory a newer version
has been provisioned for a long time: "Kate 22.12.1 Sunday, January 8, 2023"
So, Kate 22.12.1 never made into the Microsoft Store.
It would be nice to always and consistently have the most current release
version of Kate on the Microsoft Store, to stay up-to-date with Kate. After all
the Microsoft Store is the first entry on https://kate-editor.org/get-it/ ;)
