Now with the XDG global shortcut portal API, this became way more relevant.
Hotkeys like push to talk, toggle to mute and such registered by applications
(for example mumble with https://github.com/mumble-voip/mumble/pull/5976 this
patch) are very useful when bound to mouse buttons which is currently not
possible without workarounds (like configuring my mouse to send keyboard
keycodes for those buttons).
