Bug ID: 470702
Summary: USELESS LISTS of COMBINED OPTIONS.
Classification: Applications
Product: systemsettings
Version: 5.24.4
Platform: openSUSE
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: kcm_regionandlang
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
There are tons of *interesting* (and useless) regional information, all bundles
into a very long and totally incomplete list. You will *NEVER* assemble all
the combinations of flag, timezone, suffix, line order, short/long formats into
a *USEFUL* list.
This app needs to offer each option as a set of *distinct* choices. I want to
see ISO dates (YYYY-MM-DD) in my "Dolphin" file explorer. I also want to see
24hr times but I don't want to see "M06" or any of the other hundreds of
useless permutations.
Since this is an older version and is bundled with OpenSuse, perhaps the bulk
of my comment is moot.
Note: building long lists of permutations is a sure sigh than you've *FAILED*
to understand the problem.
