Bug ID: 369677 Summary: "Remove Duplicate Messages" gives throws blank error dialog Product: kmail2 Version: 5.3.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: folders Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org Reporter: psychon...@nothingisreal.com I'm suffering from one (I'm not sure which) of the many bugs in KMail2 that results in new messages getting duplicated en masse. To remove these, I use the "Remove Duplicate Messages" command from the "Folder" menu. While this command does seem to work, it has a number of undesirable side-effects. Here is what happens when I run the command: 1. A progress bar–like throbber appears in the status bar. 2. After several seconds (or minutes, for particularly large folders), a completely blank message dialog appears. It has a big red icon on it so I assume it's a serious error (though maybe it's just supposed to be telling me how many duplicates have been removed?). See attached screenshot. 3. After pressing OK on the error dialog, I am returned to the main KMail window. 4. Nothing happens for about five seconds. Then, the throbber finally stops and the duplicated messages disappear from the message list. Reproducible: Always -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
