filtering pictures on date is only possible from the search menu (left side
tool bar), this require to create a filter and enter the absolute date.
1st probleme in the advanced search : the relative date like "today",
"yesterday" ... is only used to enter the absolute date , but it is not
possible to create a search like (pictures modified today) that can be used at
any time. Each time you would like to use search filter , you have to update
the date in the search
2nd suggestion. as said the only place we can specify the date is in the
advanced search. Now it could be very usefull to add a new filter item in the
right side tool bar dedicated to the search with relative modified or created
date (today, yesterday, last week, last month,...). For exemple , you are
looking at all the pictures that have a specific tag, but you just want to see
those which have been modified today, that could be helpfull
