The colours are a bit washed out as with 8 bit. My reading regarding the colour profile: ITU-R BT.2100 PQ is that this is a non linear conversion. I think canon are using nclx so dropping through to the "Unknown HEIF color profile type discarded" warning. There is more reading/hacking before I get my head around that part.
