Bug ID: 472619
Summary: Some interface messages are missing
Classification: Websites
Product: KDE MediaWiki
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
Some Vector-2022 interface message keys are displayed instead of their content
because the pages unexpectedly don’t exist in MediaWiki: namespace.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Log in to userbase.kde.org or techbase.kde.org
2. If you don’t see any sidebar menu, but you notice a 3-bars button in
top-left-corner, click it.
OBSERVED RESULT
Notice some strange labels: `⧼vector-main-menu-label⧽`, `⧼vector-opt-out⧽`…
(Some other ones are in right Tools menu.)
EXPECTED RESULT
You should rather see the real labels:
⧼vector-main-menu-label⧽ is “Main menu”
https://translatewiki.net/wiki/MediaWiki:Vector-main-menu-label/en
⧼vector-opt-out⧽ is “Switch to old look”
https://translatewiki.net/wiki/MediaWiki:Vector-opt-out/en
…
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
According to https://userbase.kde.org/Special:Version :
MediaWiki 1.40.0
Vector 1.0.0 (strange label too)
