Exactly. 

Yes, being able to immediately see all the available thumbnails, and then
sequentially generate the missing ones would be perfect. Currently, when you
are browsing faces, the moment you encounter one missing thumbnail, nothing
else is shown (even for other people) until that thumbnail finished generating.
