Bug ID: 477535
Summary: WIFI password text field loses focus on mouse move
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasma-nm
Version: 5.27.9
Platform: Neon
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: minor
Priority: NOR
Component: applet
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
When connecting to a new WIFI network through NM Applet, the password text
field loses focus if mouse is moved over any other network in the list. This is
a minor, but annoying bug. When connecting to a network I have to let go of my
mouse very carefully to type the password in. My motor skills are slightly
impaired, and this is difficult to me.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Click Networks Panel Applet
2. Click "Connect" on any network
3. Click the text field to focus it
4. Move the pointer up or down until it leaves bounds of selected network's
frame
OBSERVED RESULT
On pointer return to the selected network's frame or it entering another
network's frame, the password text field of selected network looses focus, and
it is no longer possible to type in it.
EXPECTED RESULT
The password text field maintains focus until a click somewhere else is
performed.
